Neck Wrap - Hot/Cold Pack for Relaxation and Pain Relief
This versatile therapy pack is here to deliver comfort wherever you need it—drape it over your shoulders, snuggle it against your lower back, or cozy up with it on your lap while you dive into your favorite book. Heat it up or chill it down—hot or cold, it’s your go-to for soothing aches, calming cramps, or just adding a little everyday luxury.
Need some extra encouragement to melt away stress? Add a mild lavender scent from dried organic lavender buds to provide soothing aromatherapy.
Have a focus spot for aches and pains? You can purchase your pack with sturdy cotton handles - they allow for pulling down on the pack for targeted pressure, and they also make for convenient hanging storage.
SPECIFICATIONS:
These handmade therapy packs are made from soft and comfortable 100% premium cotton and measure 20" x 4". They're the perfect length to drape easily around the neck and stay in place over the shoulders.
Wraps are filled exclusively with brown flax seed and lavender flowers (optional). The filling is distributed along two sewn channels for even distribution. Weight is approximately 22 ounces.
FLAX SEED FILLING:
No starchy smelling rice or lumpy lentils! While these fillers are a cost-effective additive for many therapy packs, I use flax seed exclusively as it has a small tactile profile and has the unique ability to retain moisture when heated. This can be particularly beneficial for heat therapy as it helps prevent the skin from becoming overly dry during prolonged use.
AROMATHERAPY:
As well as flax seed, I use dried lavender buds in my handmade neck wraps. Lavender is well-known for its calming and relaxing properties, and its scent can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, promoting a sense of calm and tranquility.
HOT OR COLD USE:
This versatile therapy pack can be heated in the microwave or chilled in the freezer, providing relief from muscle strains, tension headaches, neck arthritis, and stress. It's also great for menstrual cramping, knee pain and alleviating the discomfort from breastfeeding.
USE:
To heat, place in microwave and heat in 30 second increments, up to 90 seconds. This is plenty of time for maximum warmth. As it cools (about 30 minutes later), you can re-heat again. To avoid burns, DO NOT OVERHEAT. Always test the temperature of the pack before using.
To cool, place in freezer until pad reaches desired cooling temperature. It feels great on eyes/forehead for soothing facial inflammation and migraine headaches.
CARE:
Store therapy pack away from moisture, as this will damage the filling. Do not immerse in water. To clean, spot clean with damp cloth and allow to dry completely.
